Alex Ferguson has claimed that, despite bids from the continent, no-one will be leaving Old Trafford while he's still in charge. "As far as I am concerned no-one wants to leave Manchester United. Everybody knows who they want out of my side, but there is no bigger club than United in my players' minds, and as far as I'm concerned they don't want to leave. During my time, no-one is going to leave," he said.

AC Milan have admitted defeat in their bid to sign David Beckham. The Serie A outfit had been preparing a world record 40 million pound offer to United, but Milan's managing director Adriano Galliani revealed, "We tried with Manchester again but they really don't want to give him up. Beckham cannot be released and we respect the wishes of Manchester." Too right, Adriano!!
